Council of the Great City Schools releases “Investing Wisely and Quickly” May 2010 The Council of the Great City Schools, a Washington-based organization representing the needs of the nation’s urban public schools, has released a new report on uses of the federal funds provided to education by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The Investing Wisely and Quickly report is based on surveys completed by forty (40) Great City School districts and includes city-by-city information on the uses of the federal stimulus funds for 2009-10.
