The Maine Department of Education is required under IDEA to report annually to the public on each of Maine’s Local Education Agency (LEA) performance in meeting targets set by the SPP.

Performance profiles for each LEA for the 2006-2007 are available here.

Every state must annually make a determination for each LEAs performance based on certain compliance indicators. The determination is one of four ratings: “meets requirements”, “needs assistance”, “needs intervention”, “needs substantial intervention”.

The determination rating for Maine LEAs based on the 2006-2007 data are available here.

Note: IDEA Money Watch is attempting to obtain the Maine LEA Ratings for 2007-2008. Please check back soon.
