OK LEA RATINGS

To comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004, the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE), Special Education Services (SES), has developed the Oklahoma’s State Performance Plan (SPP) for the United States Department of Education (USDE), Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). As part of the requirements of the SPP, the OSDE-SES must report individual “level of determination” for each district.

The levels of determination are: Meets Requirements, Needs Assistance, Needs Intervention, Needs Substantial Intervention.

For the 2007-2008 school year, all school districts in Oklahoma received a “Meets Requirements” rating except the districts listed below, which all received a “Needs Assistance” rating (21 out of 539).  The information used to determine the rating for each district is available here.
