The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to determine if each local educational agency (LEA) meets the requirements of IDEA. The criteria DPI considers when making the determination whether the LEA meets requirements, needs assistance, needs intervention, or needs substantial intervention in implementing the requirements of IDEA is available at http://dpi.wi.gov/sped/spp-determinations.html.

The Department of  Public Instruction determined all districts in the state of Wisconsin met requirements during 2007-08.  Local educational agency data on which the determinations are based is publicly posted by indicator on the Special Education District Profile at https://www2.dpi.state.wi.us/DistrictProfile/Pages/DistrictProfile.aspx.

The letters of determinations sent to each local district in Wisconsin are available here.
